## 2. Choosing and Setting Up Your Service

### 2.1. Minecraft Server Hosting

1. 1.Go to the [Minecraft Servers](https://redhosting.com.br/en/minecraft-avancado) section and click Create New Server.
2. 2.Choose a plan that fits your needs (see the options on the site).
3. 3.After completing your purchase, open the [RedHosting Panel](https://app.redhosting.com.br).
4. 4.Select the Minecraft version you want to run (Vanilla, Spigot, Paper, etc.).
5. 5.Finish the setup and click Start Server.
6. 6.Error with `server.jar`? Open the Versions tab and select the correct version. If it persists, edit the `Server Jar File` field in the Startup tab with the name of the JAR you downloaded (e.g. `paper.jar`).

### 2.2. VPS Hosting

1. 1.On our site, go to the [VPS section](https://redhosting.com.br/en/vps) and choose your plan.
2. 2.Choose the plan that best fits your usage (CPU, RAM, SSD).
3. 3.Select the operating system (Linux or Windows).
4. 4.Finish the setup and start the VPS.

  ℹ️
Tip: To access your VPS, use an SSH client such as [PuTTY](https://www.putty.org/) for Linux, or RDP for Windows.

### 2.3. Web Hosting (cPanel)

1. 1.Go to the main [RedHosting](https://redhosting.com.br/en) site.
2. 2.In the menu, go to Other Services and select Web Hosting.
3. 3.Choose the hosting plan that best meets your needs.

5. 5.Once payment is confirmed, open your cPanel through the [Client Area](https://financeiro.redhosting.com.br).
6. 6.In cPanel you can manage your site, create databases and email accounts, and use the **Auto Installer** to install a CMS such as WordPress.

  ℹ️
**Suggestion**: WordPress is an excellent choice if you want to build a site quickly and without hassle.

### 2.4. Discord Bot Hosting

1. 1.Go to the main [RedHosting](https://redhosting.com.br/en) site.

7. 7.Uploading the Bot's Source Code: if you built your bot in JavaScript (Node.js) or Python, follow these instructions to upload your source code and configure it correctly.
8. 7.1.Go to the **Startup** tab in the panel.
9. 7.2.In the **Main File** field (for JavaScript) or **App py file** (for Python), type the name of your bot's main file, including the extension (e.g. bot.js or app.py).
10. 7.3.Make sure all the required files are properly uploaded to the server.

  ℹ️
**Tip**: If you need help structuring your project, check our guides on Node.js Bots and Python Bots.

  ℹ️
**Extra step**: Don't know how to create a Discord bot? See our Discord Bot Creation Guide to get started quickly.

### 3. Advanced Settings (Optional)

For more advanced users, here are some configuration options that may be useful:

- **Automatic Backups**: Set up regular backups so you don't lose data.
- **Server Security**: Enable the firewall and anti-DDoS protection (included on every plan).

## Frequently asked questions

**Which RedHosting service should I buy?**

It depends on what you'll run: cPanel hosting for websites, a VPS if you need root access, bot hosting for Discord bots and a Minecraft server for gaming.

**Can I change plans later?**

Yes. There's no lock-in, and upgrades within the same line are done from the client area.
