April 10, 2025
Discord BOT

1. Getting your bot plan

  • First, choose and order a bot hosting plan at RedHosting.
  • Once the payment is approved, you'll receive an email with instructions to set your panel password.

2. Uploading the bot's files

  • Sign in to the hosting panel with the details you registered.
  • Go to the "Files" tab in the sidebar.
  • Compress the bot on your computer as a .zip or .rar.
  • Upload the compressed file to the panel, then right-click it to extract.

3. Setting the main file

Now go to the "Startup" tab in the panel and enter the name of the main file:

  • For Node.js bots: enter the file name, such as index.js
  • For Python bots: enter something like main.py

4. Preparing dependencies

Depending on your bot's language, you'll need to prepare the libraries:

  • For Node.js: make sure the package.json file is present and correctly configured. If everything is in order, you can start the bot.
  • For Python: create a file named requirements.txt listing the libraries you need, one per line.

Example requirements.txt:

discord.py
requests
aiohttp

5. Starting the bot

  • With everything set up, go back to the panel and click "Start".
  • Done! Your bot is now running with the protection and performance of RedHosting.

How do I upload the bot's files? +
Through the panel's file manager, or automatically from a Git repository — in that case, see the guide on linking a Git repository to your bot.
