Permissions are essential for managing who can do what on your Minecraft server. To help set up these permissions, we use the LuckPerms plugin. Below we explain how to use it.

/lp user <player_name> permission info
/lp user <player_name> permission set <permission> true
Example: if you want to give a player permission to use the /home command, use:
/lp user <player_name> permission set essentials.home true
To remove a permission from a player, use the command:
/lp user <player_name> permission unset <permission>
/lp creategroup <group_name>
/lp group <group_name> permission set <permission> true
/lp user <player_name> parent add <group_name>

After configuring the permissions, join the server with a player profile to test that they work correctly.
op your_nick. With LuckPerms installed, the recommended approach is to give the permissions to a group and add your user to that group.op grants everything, with no fine-grained control. LuckPerms lets you grant specific commands, which is the right way for moderators and roles with limited powers.
